includes your design consultation and individual stylesheet creation, plus preparation of any front and back matter (e.g., “About the Author”) and the copyright page — fee waived or reduced for subsequent books where the same stylesheet can be used

simple e-book formatting rate • $30 CAD per 10K words
few chapter breaks, no art assets, little or font formatting

standard e-book formatting rate • $40 CAD per 10K words
regular chapter breaks, few art assets, some font formatting

complex e-book formatting rate • $50 CAD per 10K words*
many short chapters, many art assets, heavy font formatting

challenging e-book formatting rate • $60 CAD and up per 10K words
special formatting outweighs regular body text on most pages

small project pricing • for works under 20K words

You’ll get both an ePub file (for Kobo, Barnes & Noble, iBooks, etc.) and a mobi file (for Amazon Kindle).

If requested during production, one additional edition (e.g., an Advance Review Copy edition, a vendor-specific edition with customization of the copyright page and/or back matter, or a Kickstarter Reward edition with a special thank-you message) will also be provided at no extra charge.

Metadata and semantics are included, along with both a traditional table of contents (a “page” in the book) and an integrated one (metadata that makes use of the e-reader’s “contents” function).
